9-17-2012 Mountainman: One of my favorite quotes ever came out yesterday and then again today. “London banking conference will turn Iraq into a bank to finance bankrupt economies in Europe, U.S. and the GCC.” Pretty self explanatory and clearly the Gulf Cooperation Council, Europe and the US are all looking at this conference as a platform to futher exploit Iraq’s wealth for their benefit. Whether Iraq has a straight revaluation or free float, it clearly will not be a lop and we have all made the right decision to hold onto this currency. These are some very exciting times in Dinar Land and I feel we are coming to the end of this ride.

9-9-2012 Mountainman: Great news today about the Defense Minister getting picked tomorrow, Erbil will be passed and a NC held. If this happens it’s great news for the GOI and all of us. There are many rumors that a big change is coming with the global monetary system and that the IQD is involved. Thousands In Yaroslavl Commemorate Victims Of Ice Hockey Team Crash
More than 10,000 people have taken part in a “March of Silence” in Russia’s western city of Yaroslavl to commemorate members of a leading ice hockey team who died in an air crash one year ago.
Local officials as well as North American National Hockey League (NHL) and Russian ice hockey veterans were among the marchers.
The Lokomotiv Yaroslavl ice hockey team, one of the most popular in Russia, lost 36 of its players and coaches in the air crash outside Yaroslavl on September 7, 2011.
Russia’s Investigative Committee announced on September 6, 2012 that the former deputy chief of the Yak Service Air Company that operated the ill-fated flight was charged with breaching air-safety regulations.
Investigators say Vadim Timofeyev gave the crew permission to fly the aircraft although they had not undergone the required training.

Russia Says Gunshot Fired At Volleyball Team Bus
The Russian Paralympics Committee says a gunshot was fired at a bus carrying Russia’s Paralympics men’s volleyball team in London.
No one was reported injured in the incident and no immediate comment from London police was available.
Team coach Viktor Dyakov said team members heard a gunshot as the squad was traveling to its game with Morocco on September 4, and a bullet hole was later discovered on the vehicle.
The Russian team won the Morocco match to advance to the quarterfinals.

9-1-2012 Intel Guru Tony – I don’t believe the holdup is all about the banks. There were fraudulent things going on in the banking system. We know what was going on in Iran & Syria. I still think we are there. We know there were meetings in Parliament, votes taken, things were passed. Talabani is already back in Iraq, has been back, having meetings. OK FIRST OFF it wouldn’t be 1000 times more expensive to do business post RV. They are dollarized now and don’t use the dinar for business transactions it would GIVE them more purchasing power post RV and would help them with their rebuilding of infrastructure to be able to complete projects in a more timely fashion with a more valuable currency. This is an invalid thought process.
2) “Would you buy dinars at 1,000 times the current price? If not, why do you expect someone to buy your dinars at 1,000 times what you paid for them?”
This person has no clue about the history of the dinar and the fact that it was devalued and put on a programmed rate for a temporary period of time until they completed their benchmarks and completed their debt restructuring program with the IMF. And it’s not someone BUYING our dinars back….it’s us exchanging them back for a rise in the exchange rate given, and exchanged against the value of the USD.
3) ” If there was any possibility of a 1,000x revaluation, would dinar sellers be so keen to sell their stock to you? Is it possible that they think their mark-up is the best profit they can make?” Again, whoever wrote this piece is a very misinformed person and doesn’t realize how anything works. The dealers didn’t BUY their dinar to sell. They have it on “loan” to sell. They don’t get to keep their stock post RV. They are in the business of trade.
4.) “Many investment professionals promote their ideas and “talk their book”. Why has no accomplished investor promoted the idea of massive gains from the dinar?” There are some investment companies who have promoted this, but it’s an exotic currency at the moment and not mainstream. Investment companies are in the business of promoting more mainstream opportunities and are typically not into currencies although they are starting to look at currencies given the markets of today.
5.) “The 1,000x rumor has been circulating for many years, but the forex markets have not reacted by driving up dinar prices significantly. On what basis do you believe you’re more “in the know” than the market?”
This is probably the most ridiculous one of all. First off, its not internationally traded yet and that’s why it’s not on the market.
So, it can’t be driven on any market until it is formally introduced and receives article 8 status to be a convertible currency giving it international status and a position within the IMF that allows for it to be traded….this goes back to the roadmap that they are following within the structure of the IMF and WB and UN to achieve the items that they need to prior to going back to their “real rate.”

In 3 weeks Iraq will have it’s first International Conference on banking and financial services. It will be held in London from September 18th-19th. Iraq’s goal is to have the GOI’s National Conference prior to this.

8-24-2012 Mountainman: We’ve waited so long for the news to turn in our favor and finally it has. We should all be very grateful for this. The new reform package will be presented at the National Meeting and then it’s game over. Everything should fall into place fairly quickly once that happens, then we can all celebrate!! IMHO.
8-24-2012 Mike: The tide is turning against Maliki in a very big way and in a very international way – that’s HUGE. He took so long to make his decision that it looks like those decisions are going to be made for him very shortly.
Parliament is going to be back in session shortly. Lots of things that need to get done very quickly, they will get them done. The crisis is in their back yard. Talabani will be returning but when he returns things will get done. He is the President, he will enact the things he needs to enact.
It’s always been my position that he got out of the picture until these things were worked out. Now that it is being worked out, he will be back to put the finishing touches on this. It is all good news.

I have solid info that Talabani will be in country between Thursday and Saturday and that they expect a revaluation before next Tuesday.
The National Conference has taken place months ago & info from high ranking officials states that we could hear an official announcement on Sunday. Does this mean it will definitely happen – no it doesn’t…this means that things are getting in a very solid position for something to take place. There are events going on out west with China, the U.S. and the IMF..they are discussing whether China can support the VND. We will all be [surprised] when we hear the RV rate of the VND. I have been hearing $ .30 to $ .65 for the VND. There is an abundant of talk of an RV between the 28th and the 3rd, but don’t take this to the grave. Info is very exciting.

CBI is not dealing with Iran as we have seen in the papers - thats Maliki that getting in trouble for that – they have no intention of doing anything but doing regular trade for the electricity that they are allowed to under the sanctions that are there..they don’t want to break any of the sanctions – and that they have the ability now to watch the money which gives them alot of power now to really figure out where things are going and I really think we are going to see a big difference in how the CBI starts to handle themselves..they are slowly but surely gaining the power that they need to manage the economy there
They are educating the people to get them educated in depositing money in the bank using the banking system – big education process so we like to see more of that going on

The source said, “It is expected to visit Baghdad high-level U.S. delegation, headed by U.S. President Obama or Vice President Joseph Biden.” We have talked about the Strategic Framework Agreement….The part that says “The United States and Iraq have signed a framework agreement strategic and comes in one of its clauses, “The parties agree to continue close cooperation in the promotion and perpetuation of military and security institutions, political institutions and democracy in Iraq” Those institutions happen to be the executive branch…the judicial branch – all the things we set up over there - remember we set this up – we put the framework down – we know how this is supposed to go – we know who is supposed to get the power – we know how it is supposed to be divided up – in this its Mom & Dad have basically come home to beat the step child – to get this under control and we have alot of influence there now with that Strategic Framework – as we come in you kinda get that explained to you a little bit….Well you may want to understand that this is a very important thing you need to do there is to get your government set up – get your ministers in place – you need to have all of this formed – Maliki if you really want to stay and not prosecuted for everything you have coming on here you might want to seat your government – drop your power – and we will take this up after you get everything taken care of so I think this is really pretty cool that this is taking place – very positive for us – you wait long enough someone is going to make that decision for you and basically it is very difficult and very tough to go forward and become a government if you are not going to make these decisions and the expectations are that there is a government that sits there and is very operational….one of my favorite articles of the day “MP Keywords: future meetings of the blocs will put the final touches on the reform sheet items”

Government Bonds ( Rating of debt is important here) and Gold, as of June 21,2012. They are the major one. Others will be added in the future. Now under the old system , in ground assets, such as gold mines( not producing) or oild fields (not producing) are currently a tier 3. This means you will only get .$ 10 or $ .05 on the dollar. How do you start to make it producing? You really cannot. Now with the same examlple as above and is moved into a tier 2, you will probably get $ .35-$ .40. This will give those owners and chance to start producing and making these gold mines producing tier1 assets.

The Central Bank of Iraq has agreed with the Economic Committee of the Iraqi Parliament to introduce the new banknotes in September 2012, which will be used in parallel with the current banknotes for a year.
The CBI will completely withdraw the old banknotes by September 2013. Abdul-Hussein Abtan, Economic Committee Member of Parliament in Baghdad stated in a press conference that there is an initial agreement between Parliament and the central bank to start the process of removing three zeros in September, and it will take a year to complete.
The new banknotes will be printed in Arabic, English and Kurdish. The CBI will introduce three new banknotes: 50 dinars, 100 dinars and 200 dinars. For smaller transactions, the CBI will also issue 1-dinar and 2-dinar coins which Iraq currently does not use.

8-21-2012 Randy Koonce: Nothing will happen until Talabani comes back. Najafi, Talabani, Maliki and Allawi need to be present to set up the new government. We’re waiting for Talabani to return and for a National Conference. This is event driven, not date driven.
I think once Talabani returns, we’ll have a National Meeting and the RV will happen right after. As far as the rumors about people who have already cashed out, that’s the biggest bunch of garbage I’ve ever heard. Don’t listen to that nonsense.
When Talabani returns they will have to show the Ministers (which must be done publicly) and the power sharing by law must be in place. Once that is done this should be over within 5 days tops. If you think you can guess the timing go for it but you won’t get it right. Sit back relax and wait for the event (National Meeting) to take place. I do think Obama needs this for his election.

Why would you talk about wealth and building wealth when these people don’t have any? Does it lead you to believe or lead you to infur that in the future these people are going to need these type of things? they are going to need to buy gold…need to buy and hang onto their wealth and create wealth inside the country Wealth is created by having assets…by having businesses and by having all of those type of things – Its not just about having a pile of dinars in your pocket like we do and we get and we run out…..our idea on this side is the same as theirs – they are going to get purchasing power which buys them more so they will have more left over at the end of the day…we are going to have a pile of cash that sits in front of us and we would really like to create wealth that lasts….wealth lasts for generations….money lasts as long as you have it and spend it..that could be a short period of time…..I think this is interesting…talking about the banking system and getting people into the bank and liquidity
I have had numerous questions about the auctions…people get confused….if you are confused about the federal banking system you need to get a book called Modern Money Mechanics (link on our website) it will really help you understand what the function of a Central Bank is and the function of our Federal Reserve Bank is…and it is operating the same in Iraq…very parallel to ours….system is very similar because we set it up…the idea of these auctions is to take in the dinar and put out dollars…they are not giving them to the general public…giving them to banks…financing projects with them – they are doing alot of different things…the banks will slowly put those dollars out into the streets..people are wondering why they are giving so many dollars and they think they are going back into Iraq……well its not…..thats the problem….the money is going out of Iraq to pay for projects and not coming back in and not given to the citizens….so the citizens can only take so much money out of that – they can only bring their dinar in and get so many dollars based on what they have it is not huge amounts…they would like to have that as the streets are coming down… We are going to read an article that says Parliament would like to have more money changing places open and we dont want that…we want banks to do that…so you can come in and open up accounts….get loans and do things that banks does because it is part of fractional banking and thats how that gets used and thats how it grows…really great article that talks about having people create wealth…you have to have something to create wealth from right?? “Central bank sells gold coins to the public soon” They are coming to the end where the Central Banks is going to start operating as a Central Bank and its going to start financing the deficit thru the bonds and they are going to need other ways to create money and income coming in…well selling gold coins they can create another avenue of income…but also helps put their people into a position to gain wealth and when you are gaining wealth, you are in a much better position to pass that along generationally and thats what you want to see….. people will ask us what are the Iraqi people going to do with all of this money? Well they are really not getting lots of money – they are getting purchasing power as we have discussed many times….and once they have that purchasing power they will create wealth for generations similar to what our parents and forefathers did…we came out of the depression – as they came out of the depression their habits didn’t change much …they held onto their money…they decided they wanted to have a couple of generations to do better than they did so they had money to give to those generations so it takes a couple of generations for this to go in….you want the first generation to start to get this money to start to buy the wealth and invest in Iraq by buying these coins and invest in your own country with putting the money and keeping it there then in turn loan that money out exponentially to build projects and go on…again don’t misinterpret this article as they are releasing gold coins…they are talking about a Feasibility study on whether or not they need to do this – its something that needs to happen and yes it does need to happen but it is not happening now..its not happening tomorrow or the next day but it will happen sometime after the significant increase in the value of the dinar….so again why would you talk about wealth in a country that has very limited resources for their people? That is the question of the day?

Afghan-Pakistani Team To Probe Cross-Border Shelling
KABUL — Afghan officials say a deal has been struck with Pakistan to investigate a recent surge in cross-border attacks that has raised tensions between the two neighbors.
Aimal Faizi, spokesman for Afghan President Hamid Karzai, said a joint military team will be sent to the country’s porous eastern border with Pakistan to conduct an investigation.
Faizi revealed that Karzai asked Zardari to put a stop to attacks on Afghan territory and said the cross-border shelling was having “an extremely negative impact” on Afghan attitudes toward Pakistan.
“The Afghan president asked the Pakistani government to immediately stop its cross-border shelling,” Faizi said.
“He said the attacks from Pakistan into Afghan territory were having a negative impact on the friendship between the Afghan and Pakistani people and that these attacks should be stopped immediately.”
Afghan officials, who blame Pakistan for the alleged attacks, say thousands of rockets and heavy artillery shells have landed in eastern Afghanistan in recent months, killing dozens of civilians and forcing thousands to flee their homes.
NATO’s military force in Afghanistan last month also condemned cross-border shelling from Pakistan.
Pakistani officials have rejected the allegations, insisting that Pakistani troops only respond to attacks from militants.
Afghanistan’s parliament earlier this month dismissed the country’s defense and interior ministers over alleged security failures, including perceived inaction by the two ministers in the face of the spate of cross-border shelling.
Afghanistan and Pakistan typically blame each other for violence by Taliban militants plaguing both sides of their border, known as the Durand Line.

8-13-2012 Tony: Going back to the beginning, we have heard a lot of things and seen a lot of things. And while a lot was baloney there was little pieces of truth in all of it. Just like there is today. The whole middle east has changed. This is a moving target. All pieces have to fit in order for this to work. We’ve learned a lot of things over the last 2 years. I did get a call…the meeting went well in Iraq and that we should look for some kind of announcement…hearing after Ramadan…still trying to conclude this month.
8-13-2012 Gary: we have finally admitted it, we are confused…the news is constantly changing…we’re just waiting for the call saying it RV’d…lets wait to see what happens over the next couple days.
8-13-2012 Dan: Does everyone remember when we were all told that it was in the banks and on the screens? It was the famous “hot dog” day, and that’s not throwing Tony under the bus but that’s what we both were told. But at that point I had to go back to my beliefs and say they’re not going to announce it that way. Regular people are not going to be told by the upper class (classification in the economy) without any kind of penalty that these things are going to take place. So, after the first day I didn’t believe the banks screen rumor. That lasted for about a month, then there were vouchers, followed by cards being loaded, back to the bank screens etc. We all know this is going to revalue and I don’t have a doubt in my mind that it’s going to happen. The problem is we’re falling for bad rumors. I’m watching the economy and there is a strange stability that shouldn’t be there. What’s going on behind the scene has never happened before. But I think because we all need this to happen so bad sometimes we fall for the hype. Such as Reno, Madame Wu etc. Bottom line: I’m sick of the bologna stories that are supposed to excite us. It is going to happen and it is going to be soon but if we’re actually going to keep putting dates out, I think we should be should be smarter than that. Let the other boards do that kind of stupid stuff. I don’t have any doubt that this will happen and I hope that comes accross. That’s my opinion.

8-11-2012 Hammerman Iraq seems to be on super high alert, cant get the details just yet but some big meeting taking place in Kuwait with Maliki and Shabibi and 5 other countries including China and USA.
there again seems to be alot of movement in the banks and screens going crazzy, private wealth mangers calling people, hedge fund guys acquiring more dinar and dong, so great banking stuff going on.
the folks in Reno and Vegas are all pumped up and very happy…they all expect to be at the banks daily and really hyped up about it. i can find nothing bad anywhere…i build from a big puzzle from all intel…think we will not see anything before the 20th, just an opinion.
Hammerman talked to Switzerland forex early this am, they are prepping system for more tests and…the live rate…they are trying to keep the public off guard. they are telling me they expect about about 57 countries to go up in value before oct. they also confirmed to me that they are being told all work is done from all sides. this is great news.

dinarguru 8-8-2012 Newshound Guru Doc We continue to be amazed that a few sites are trying to resurrect the $ 14 initial exchange rate or at least the $ 3+ range. They continue to argue Shabibi said this when he said he wanted the dinar to be the strongest currency in the ME.
Unfortunately this ignores the macroeconomics of currency reform all together. When Shabibi makes this statement he has never referred to this as the initial RV rate but as the ultimate goal with a 3+ year horizon.
He knows he needs much more oil exports, a diversified economy and most importantly a stable GOI to get there. He also knows the infrastructure is not there currently to support those valuations.
If we know this then be assured Shabibi is many steps ahead of us.
Our opinion continues the initial rate will be around $ 1. This in and of itself is huge; however, all of Shabibi’s statements around initial rate talk about being on par with the USD.
A recent article suggested the common citizen is expecting something slightly above $ 1 and at that point would trade their USD for dinars.
This also supports the estimate of $ 1.13 to de-dollarize the country. We continue to believe the rate will be of this magnitude because Shabibi has also stated he wants the dinar as the currency of choice going into 2013.
To RV at the massive rates being reported would be economic suicide for Iraq. Also remember the CBI is a privately held business and as such exits to make money.
RVing at a lower rate and working the rate up over time affords the CBI of a greater profit potential. We report, you decide.

8-8-2012 SWFloridaGuy: There are many reports lately suggesting that an agreement on key reforms has been struck. If Maliki advocates strict adherence to these reforms, then we may see a National Meeting where the Iraq List is in attendance.
Allawi has made it clear that unless parts of the Erbil agreement are implemented they will continue to boycott any attempt at a National Conference, just as they did last time. So, the fact that they are coming back to the table and moving away from questioning the Prime Minister is a great sign that there truly is a deal in the works. We are seeing not only from Maliki’s camp but also from his opposition that they are maneuvering toward reaching (or already have) a consensus on implementing a reform proposition. Of course until we see this actually happen, history has taught us to remain skeptical but the recent tone of the GOI certainly leads me to believe they are at least trying to strike a deal. The stability of the GOI is undoubtedly an appurtenant component to any currency reform project the CBI may be working on. So, if true, this is great news for anyone investing in Iraq and something we should all keep an eye on.

dinardetectives – 8-4-2012 Henry: For all of you that buy into the bank report, let me say this - common sense should tell you that it does not take 2 years for a bank to prepare for something they already do on a daily basis (exchange currencies)
The banks in the business of making money not projecting or directing the revaluation of a FOREIGN Country… Will not happen… They will know just before you do (not days) think about this, the very institution that you and I will use to exchange dinar, has fore knowledge.They would be to busy cashing in their on institutional trillions to cash in your millions. So who would benefit? Iraq has will always have complete control over this event…period.
Some of you have accepted the fact that a country that gave nothing in this process other the purchase of US debt fill dictate to those that gave Billions in cash and drops of blood… No never.Anyone that has ever followed my statements can rewind and find that I told you from the beginning that you giving up and selling your dinar back has always been a desired result of all the pumpers in this environment.
They have to keep you bought in to their info supply lines. I think it would be wise to test the uniqueness of the info against the vast amount of free info sources available to you on a daily basis.
Ramadan will not bring an RV and it’s not due to the spiritual holiday, it’s due to the planned time of release, that’s not upon us as of yet.
